Fill general week time
Fill general week time.
Who can do this: Tenant administrator, Operator
Before you start
- Time Management must be enabled. Use the application’s time-entry or approval interface; Richard has no time-writing or timesheet-approval tool.
Safeguards
- General time is for activities without a specific task and counts towards weekly totals.
- Use Profile → Week Planner for your activity labels and schedule.
- "Copy Previous Week" clones general_time_entries from the prior week into the current week. It does NOT copy task entries (those are specific to tickets). Descriptions are not copied — only labels and hours.
- Use positive hours and review the date, activity, duration and any billable/customer details for each entry.
- The running timer (with mandatory auto-stop cap) can be started from the inline add panel or Quick Entry dialog. It logs against a specific ITSM task, not a general entry.
- Do not use general entries as a hiding place for ticket work. Ticket-related work should be connected to the task/ticket whenever a concrete work item exists.
- Use the time-entry interface; Richard does not currently write time.
- Navigate to My Workspace → My Time. The weekly view shows 7 day cards with your scheduled hours, logged task time, general entries, and gaps.
- Click any day card to open the inline add panel below it.
- For a general activity, select a label, enter the date and hours, and review the entry before saving.
- To clone last week: click "Copy Previous Week" at the top of the weekly view. This copies all general entries from the prior week. Adjust hours or remove entries as needed.
- To edit an existing entry: click the entry row in the entries list below the day grid. Inline edit appears with duration presets. Update or delete.
- To configure your defaults: go to Profile → Week Planner tab. Set shift start/end times and hours per day. Drag activities from the sidebar onto the Outlook-style time grid to define your standard week template. Resize activities by dragging their bottom edge. All placements snap to 30-minute increments. Click any placed activity to add notes.
- For time writing, review the dates, durations, activity labels and task references in the time-entry interface before saving.
Expected outcome: The user has reviewed the result of fill general week time in the application.
Review week completeness
Review week completeness.
Who can do this: Tenant administrator, Operator
Before you start
- Time Management must be enabled. Use the application’s time-entry or approval interface; Richard has no time-writing or timesheet-approval tool.
Safeguards
- Review the daily schedule; defaults are eight hours on weekdays and weekends off.
- The weekly view computes gaps as: scheduled_hours - (task_hours + general_hours). If the result is negative, that day is in overtime.
- The stacked bar on each day card shows task hours (teal) and general hours (colored by label) as a proportion of scheduled hours.
- Overtime (total > scheduled) is flagged in red on the day card and in the weekly total.
- General and task time both count towards the week.
- Fill gaps with actual recorded work, not invented activities. Review dates, hours, task references and any billable/customer details before submitting.
- Navigate to My Workspace → My Time. The weekly view shows 7 day cards with your scheduled hours, logged task time, general entries, and gaps.
- Review the weekly total bar — it shows task hours, general hours, and overtime. Ensure gaps are filled.
- For time writing, review the dates, durations, activity labels and task references in the time-entry interface before saving.
Expected outcome: The user has reviewed the result of review week completeness in the application.
