Who can do this: Tenant administrator, Operator

Use an account with access to the stated page and permission for the chosen action.

Verify both the upload and its attachment to the intended record succeeded; a partial failure may need investigation.
Documents should be linked to the correct entity so they appear in context instead of becoming orphaned storage objects.
Do not put secrets in attachments unless the tenant has an explicit secure document handling policy.

Open the record or resource page that should own the document.
Use the document upload or attachment section to select a file.
Confirm the file metadata, entity link, and any parsed certificate details before saving.
After upload, verify the document appears on the owning record or certificate inventory page.
Use Attachment Explorer when auditing files across records or investigating orphaned evidence.

Expected outcome: The user has reviewed the result of attach document in the application.

Certificate duplicate detection uses file hash and certificate fields such as serial/issuer when available.
Documents should be linked to the correct entity so they appear in context instead of becoming orphaned storage objects.
Do not put secrets in attachments unless the tenant has an explicit secure document handling policy.
Review parsed certificate details and duplicates before saving. A stored certificate record does not install or renew a certificate on a device.

Open the record or resource page that should own the document.
For certificates, use the certificate upload flow so the app can parse metadata and detect duplicates.
Confirm the file metadata, entity link, and any parsed certificate details before saving.
After upload, verify the document appears on the owning record or certificate inventory page.
