Edit profile preferences
Edit profile preferences.
Who can do this: Requester, Reader, Operator, Tenant administrator
Before you start
- Use an account with access to the stated page and permission for the chosen action.
Safeguards
- Chat language affects the AI assistant language, not the application UI language; the UI remains English-only.
- First and last name are read-only in profile and require an administrator to change.
- Open Profile.
- Use the Profile tab to review read-only first and last name.
- Set Chat Language and Time Format in Personal Information.
- Update job title, phone numbers, Slack handle, preferred contact method, and timezone in Contact Information.
Expected outcome: The user has reviewed the result of edit profile preferences in the application.
Manage contact delegation
Route your contact requests to another user with a reason and a bounded period or deliberate permanent delegation. This is not a transfer of every operational permission.
Who can do this: Requester, Reader, Operator, Tenant administrator
Before you start
- Use an account with access to the stated page and permission for the chosen action.
Safeguards
- Active delegation requires a delegate user, a reason, and either an end date or permanent delegation.
- The delegate search excludes the current user and returns up to 10 matching users.
- Open Profile.
- Use Contact Delegation only when another user should handle contact requests.
- When enabling delegation, select a delegate, set dates or permanent delegation, provide a reason, and add optional instructions.
Expected outcome: The user has reviewed the result of manage contact delegation in the application.
Reset local preferences
Reset local preferences.
Who can do this: Requester, Reader, Operator, Tenant administrator
Before you start
- Use an account with access to the stated page and permission for the chosen action.
Safeguards
- Purge resets browser-local storage and many profile preferences, then reloads the page. Review the scope before confirming.
- Use this only to recover broken preferences, forms or table/cache settings; it does not repair operational records.
- Open Profile.
- Open Settings and use Purge User Settings & Cache only when local preferences, forms, cache, or table settings are broken.
Expected outcome: The user has reviewed the result of reset local preferences in the application.
